Stepping Into Your Personal Power

Updated: Sep 26, 2024

Giving your personal power away is one of the greatest acts of injustice against yourself. Abandoning yourself for others does not give you the healthy connections you’re looking for. In actuality, it leads to self-betrayal and self-neglect and furthers patterns of low self-worth.

Listen, in business, romance, or friendships, people will not respect you until you start respecting yourself. You have got to say no to anything and everything that has been enabling you to show up, then your less than best self, and say goodbye to those things. Then, once you’ve turned away from that, start saying hello to allow the beauty that’s to come.

You have got to say no to anything and everything that has been enabling you to show up as your less than best self.

Start saying hello to your own acceptance, love, and appreciation. Start saying hello to celebrating your growth. Start saying hello to those who embrace your milestones and love to see you win rather than get jealous. This self-actualized self-empowerment is free to everyone. I would even say it is your God-given right.

Living as a lesser, smaller, and more fearful version doesn’t serve you or your loved ones. You deserve to be everything God has created you to be. Whether you want to live a quiet life or a fast paced life, you are worthy of having a joyful existence outside of others opinions of who they think you should be.

Drop the people-pleasing and start choosing you!

However, if you still have fears about stepping into your power. Hold on to these truths:

"For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught." Proverbs 3:26

“As long as you look for someone else to validate who you are by seeking their approval, you are setting yourself up for disaster. You have to be whole and complete in yourself. No one can give you that. You have to know who you are - what others say is irrelevant.”

Nic Sheff

"Dare to love yourself as if you were a rainbow with gold at both ends.”

 Author-Poet Aberjhani

“Every woman that finally figured out her worth has picked up her suitcases of pride and boarded a flight to freedom, which landed in the valley of change.”

Shannon L. Alder
